Adventures!
Drove through Mojave National Park. We ended up seeing way more Joshua Trees here than in Joshua Tree National Park.
We found the sweetest pit bull roaming around the highway near Wonder Valley. She trotted right up to our car, and jumped into the front seat after a series of slobbery kisses. She put her head right in Adam's lap and got comfortable for the ride.
After some asking around, we took her to the Animal Shelter in 29 Palms, and told them if no one claimed her we would come get her. Someone ended up claiming her a few days later. We're happy she's home, but a little sad we didn't get to keep her. The experience has made me even more eager to get a dog than I originally was, and even more invested in the 'pit bull-type breeds'.
Here's an interesting fact about dogs in Ohio...
A dog can be deemed vicious if:
It bites or attacks a human,
Kills another animal,
Or is a 'pit bull type dog'
Um... seriously? Well if anything makes me want something more, it's if everyone else hates it.
Then we drove to my uncle's house in Cathedral City, CA. It's great to get to see them on this trip, they live so far away we don't get to see them nearly enough. Kevin and Murray were so accommodating. It was a nice break from our regular schedule. Not to mention we got to play with their four dogs.

Food
I don't know what the whole day consisted of, but we went out to dinner with my uncles at Palm Greens Cafe. It's a cute, vegan friendly restaurant in Palm Springs. Adam had the Deconstructed Chili Relleno, and I had a Pasta Pesto Salad. Delicious.
