Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa is a small city just north of San Francisco.  It's cute, and full of enough stuff to do we decided to hang out all day.  We did our laundry while we watched some T.V., went to Y, and to local coffee shop.  We went to the park so that Adam could try out his new thrifted roller skates, and I could pretend to be an awesome derby chick.  Then we went to the movies. 

If you like other movies that Hayao Miyazaki has had a hand in (Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are personal favorites of mine) then you will probably enjoy The Secret World of Arrietty.  The animation and music are fantastic.  The storyline is simple, yet moving.  It is a movie for children, there's no mistaking that with this one.  If you can appreciate something with a G rating every once in a while, this is a must see.
