Adventures!

Yellowstone was amazing.  Big surprise.  The natural sights were awesome, but the highlight was probably the wildlife.  It is everywhere, and you are right in the middle of it.

These signs were all over, apparently people die by boiling water.  I'm pretty sure that's the worst way to die.  I'd probably prefer death by bear attack.  At least they go for your vital organs first.

They honestly didn't seem to care in the slightest that they were laying down in a blizzard.

I got pretty close to this one.  He didn't seem to mind too much, but I tried to keep some distance because these things will kill you in a violent bludgeoning sort of way.

Do not be fooled, we wasn't showing off he was asking us to get the heck away.

I thanked him for the pictures and reminded him kindly that I don't eat birds.  I feel like they appreciate that.

They were running around and playing with each other. It was super cute in the way that giant fast animals who have the ability to kill you are cute.

I'm glad we were there out of season.  It was still very pretty, there were very few people, and the animals were out.  I highly recommend visiting Yellowstone if you ever have the chance.

Skip. We didn't do much in Bozeman.  We went to this park with a little lake and a small beach.  They had this big rock thing for climbing on, which was fun for a few minutes.  We hung out a bit downtown, but didn't really do anything worth a mention.  Bozeman is cute, but we're pretty excited for Yellowstone tomorrow.  Hopefully we'll get an early start.  Lots and lots of pictures to come.

The Accidental Vegan

We woke up in Spokane, went to the Y, then the coffee shop, then we left for Butte.  Spokane wasn't really speaking to us.  The drive to Butte was pretty.

Food
Yes, they really do exist.  If you look at the ingredients list on every package, in every bakery, in every grocery, you may just be lucky enough to run across... an accidental vegan treat.

We made these really great tacos with taco seasoning, fresh spicy salsa, and black beans.

Adventures!
We wanted to go to a Puget Sound beach before we hit the road for Spokane.

Unfortunately we didn't see any.  We did see lots of sea vegetables, lots of dead crabs, lots of barnacles, and lots and lots of rocks.

We spent the day exploring Seattle.  Here's what some of it looks like.

Also, it rains in Washington.  All the time.

Music

Adam put together a Seattle playlist for us to listen to as we explored.  It included Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Temple Of The Dog, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Mad Season, Mother Love Bone, and Mudhoney.  It's Lilith Fair pretty much every time I choose the music, so I was open to changing it up a bit. 

Food

We went out to eat.

Life Goes by Slow in Tacoma

Adventures!
We spend most of the day in Tacoma, doing laundry, writing at the local coffee shop, and doing not a whole lot.  Tacoma is alright, but we were excited to get to Seattle.  Unfortunately Seattle doesn't really have places for us to stay, so we drove to a southern suburb to spend the night and left the exploration for the morning.
